Essence D.
(aka EDJ)

At the age of 11, this youngster is filling up her time by being as productive as possible.  Residing in Pittsburgh, PA, EDJ may be new to the poetry and spoken word scene but she is not new to hard work.

Always entrepreneurial-minded, she started assisting at her mother's nonprofit organization Stay Zen at the age of 9.  Shortly after turning 10 years-old, EDJ became one of the Brand Ambassadors for 2K Boss Chic.  She is currently working on her own "healing soap" venture.

While she continues to practice the art of Tang Soo Do at the C.S Kim Karate School, she uses that discipline to combat her attention and anxiety issues.  She is currently working on a poetry chapbook.  Keep your eye on this talented and spirited girl!
